Ocean Optioned
It looks like it's finally official--the screen rights to Ocean, the science fiction graphic novel by Warren Ellis and myself, have been optioned by the producers of the movie 300. This has been in the works for a little while now and I didn't want to say anything until it was a done deal. Click here to be taken to the announcement on Variety's website for more details. I'll definitely post updates as I learn more.

This is the coolest thing ever--CONGRATULATIONS!!! Here's hoping they can handle the material well and that your cut is what you deserve. . .I'm sure the sharks are circling, but don't let them take any bites!!

Ya know, this book almost didn't seem long enough to support a whole movie, but I'm sure the details can be fleshed out once the script starts coming together.

So, once production gets underway how much involvement will you have in it, Chris? Is that up to the powers that be, or is there an option for you and Warren to be involved at all stages production?
